Role Overview: As the Technical Vice President of Software Sales, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for driving the growth of our software sales division. You will combine your exceptional sales acumen with a strong technical background to lead a team of high-performing sales professionals, develop strategic sales plans, and build lasting relationships with clients. Your role will be crucial in expanding our customer base, enhancing revenue streams, and shaping the future of our software sales efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive the company’s software sales growth.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Utilize your technical expertise to understand complex customer needs, tailor software solutions, and present compelling value propositions to clients.
- Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform business strategies and enhance market penetration.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long-term business relationships and repeat business.
- Provide insightful sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to the executive team, highlighting key performance metrics and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in software sales, with a consistent history of exceeding revenue targets and leading successful sales teams.
- Strong technical background with a comprehensive understanding of software solutions, technology trends, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
